KARA PODI IDLI / IDLI RECIPE

Today I am sharing a recipe which can be prepared with fresh Idli or left over Idli. Usually we prepare Idli Uppma with left over idli's, so for a change I tried this recipe and it came out very well. Kara Podi Idli can be prepared with very limited Ingredients. Best snack for evening hunger I hope. Mouthwatering when I think of  picking each Idli with fork & munching it accompanying with hot tea or coffee while watching TV. Here comes the recipe,

Ingredients:

Idli - 4 Nos
Oil - 1 tblsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tblsp ( As per taste)
Salt - As per taste
Urad Dhal  - 1 tsp
Bengal Gram - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 7 to 10 Nos
Mustard - 1 tsp


Method: 

1) Chop the Idli's in desired shape

2) Add 1/2 tblsp of oil, Chilli Powder and salt to the chopped Idli mix it well ( Use your hands to mix for better result)


 3) In a pan, heat 1/2 tblsp of oil then add mustard seeds, once it splutters add Urad dhal & Bengal Gram saute till it turns golden brown color, then add Curry leaves.


4) Finally add chopped Idli mixed with chili powder to the pan, mix it well for few seconds 


5) Transfer it to a bowl and serve hot
