About me

Very glad to welcome you all to my Samayalarai (Kitchen). My name is Karthika . I born and brought up in  a small town of South TamilNadu.

     I was working in few Top IT Concerns as Software Tester. Cooking is my passion, I always had a wish to prepare variety of dishes like traditional South Indian foods ,Bakery items.
Before marriage I was staying in hostels for few years and started to stay with friends in home, that's the place where I started my experiments in cooking. But I had to stay in office for long time to complete my tasks and so was not able to concentrate much on cooking, I used to prepare only basic dishes (Sambar, Rasam, Idli, Dosai , Chappathi kind of).

 After marriage also I was working,  though I liked to give variety in recipes to surprise my dear husband  I felt very difficult in preparing new dishes in that routine schedule.

Finally after one and half years of marriage life I quit my job and we moved to Sweden due to my husband's job. And now I am a housewife :) I have plenty of time to try different dishes.

And to get rid of my loneliness and laziness ;) I thought of writing blog with the recipe's which I learnt from my mom and few from cook book and other cooking websites.

All the recipes I posted in my blog are tried by me and in my kitchen. I provided detailed stepwise pictures too.

I hope to inspire you in cooking through my recipes. It will be my great pleasure to know your comments and feedback about my recipes   .
