I am not soo good in preparing fish fry, sometimes it turned out well and sometimes not. So searched for Fish fry recipe and I came across with Masala Fish Fry in Sharmi's blog. Here I got Herring fish only, so I prepared this masala fish fry with that, you can use the same procedure for all the other fishes.
Ingredients
To Grind
Instructions
1) Mix chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, lemon(1 tsp) and Curd(1 tsp) to make a paste.Check the taste and spread the paste on the fish pieces. Let it rest for 30 minutes. (I didn't do this step, I just added both the pastes at same time )
2) Grind all the ingredients listed under To Grind and add a tsp of curd to a mixture and spread the ground paste on the fish pieces.( Press each side of the fish with fork so that the masala will enter into the fish). Let it rest for 30 minutes.
3) Heat a dosa tawa, add a tsp of oil and place 1 or 2 pieces fish , drizzle some oil and cook both sides of the fish till it becomes golden brown. You can also deep fry the fishes.
4) Serve hot with onion and lemon slices.
